Role

As a Staff Software Engineer (Backend/Infra) at Amigo, you'll lead the design, development, and scaling of backend services, APIs, and infrastructure powering enterprise AI deployments. You'll build the core systems that enable our context graphs, functional memory architecture, and reinforcement learning pipelines while ensuring they meet the highest standards for reliability, scalability, security, and performance. You'll play a key role in our engineering organization's growth over the next 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build robust backend systems that power our context graph architecture, memory systems, and agent framework
• Design and implement authentication, observability, metadata, metering, and billing components for enterprise-grade AI deployments
• Engineer scalable infrastructure for agent performance analytics and targeted adversarial testing
• Lead infrastructure automation (IaC), continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), and Kubernetes-based deployments
• Design backend services that maintain the highest standards of reliability, security, and performance—critical for establishing trust in high-stakes domains
• Collaborate across teams to ensure technical alignment between platform, field operations, and research

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing, scaling, and maintaining backend infrastructure and APIs, ideally within enterprise SaaS or AI environments.
• Strong expertise with Python, cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS, familiarity with Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines.
